摘要

　　為使各地回國生大學僑生能更確實掌握中文以順利求學並融入本地生活，教育部僑教會補助世界華語文教育學會編製一套可以判斷僑生中文能力的測驗工具作為分班與教學參考。本測驗包括聽力理解、閱讀理解和詞彙三部分。經過在國內與馬來西亞地區針對不同年級的本地生與僑生約3000人的試測，確認本測驗為一具信度與效度的中文聽與讀能力測驗。研究者提出一與國內不同年級的對照表，幫助中文教師更清楚僑生在本測驗上得分所代表的能力水準。

Abstract

     Chinese Language Proficiency Test for Oversea Chinese Students (OCS) was constructed to be a placement test to help OCS improve their Chinese language abilities. In order to define the level of proficiency, we have conducted basic research in the area of vocabulary and culture and run several small scale of research to decide the format of the test. It is then composed of 3 subtests: listening comprehension, vocabulary and reading comprehension. Each subtest has a parallel form. Over 3000 local and oversea OCS were recruited to take the tests. We have also had Taiwanese elementary, junior and senior students to take the same tests. The purpose was to validate the relationship between the level of difficulties and the experience of learning. All the results show that the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (OCS) is a valid and reliable test. It can discriminate students with different Chinese learning backgrounds and experiences. We recommend the test to the universities for the purpose of evaluating students' Chinese language abilities and providing Chinese lessons accordingly.
