In order to define the level of proficiency, we have conducted basic research in the area of vocabulary and culture and run several small scale of research to decide the format of the test. It is then composed of 3 subtests: listening comprehension, vocabulary and reading comprehension. Each subtest has a parallel form. Over 3000 local and oversea OCS were recruited to take the tests. We have also had Taiwanese elementary, junior and senior students to take the same tests. The purpose was to validate the relationship between the level of difficulties and the experience of learning. All the results show that the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (OCS) is a valid and reliable test. It can discriminate students with different Chinese learning backgrounds and experiences. We recommend the test to the universities for the purpose of evaluating students' Chinese language abilities and providing Chinese lessons accordingly. 內容語文 Language 中文 頁次 Page 53-65 全文下載 Download
