Thus, to explore the Chinese cultural background of greetings plays a exclusive role which cannot be taken over by the other activities of teaching. From a cultural point of view, we try to make more concern on the Chinese greetings analysis and give an introduc-tion other features. Besides, in order to learn the use differences of greetings expressions between both sides across straits a contrastive study was con-ducted on university students.
