Previous literature showed that a great deal of description for tone grew out of the concept of music. Based on this notion and taking Y. R. Chao's "five-scale tone marks" as a reference, the study proposed some perspectives on tone teaching. First, take the first and fourth tones as the standard tone. Second, practice the tone in the order of the first, fourth, third, and finally second. Third, do not separate tone from vocabulary when teaching.
