摘要

　　本文以華語為例，探討語言分析對於語言教學的重要性，尤其是如何透過語言分析把看似複雜的華語語法現象概化為簡單而清楚的語法規律。本文所討論的華語語法問題包括：（一）華語複合詞的內部結構與外部功能的關係、（二）華語雙音形容詞的重疊規律與條件、（三）華語與英語詞序的對比分析、（四）‘死鬼’與‘死相’的語用解釋。本文強調語言分析的目的在於把母語說話者所內化的語言能力外現為簡要而清晰的語言規律，並且主張語法規律應該要「有知有覺」的學習，然後經過不斷的練習與應用，最後纔能養成「不知不覺」的習慣。

Abstract

　　This paper stresses the importance of linguistic analysis to language teaching, by discussing how seemingly complicated grammatical phenomena in Chinese can be reduced to a few simple and explicit rules by closely observing the relevant linguistic data and generalizing them into grammatical rules with certain explanatory as well as descriptive power. Altogether, four topics are discussed with detailed examples: (1) the relationship between the internal structures and external functions of Chinese compounds, (2) conditions on the reduplication of Chinese disyllabic adjectives, (3) a contrastive analysis between Chinese and English word orders, and (4) a pragmatic explanation of the usage of ‘死鬼’and ‘死相’. It is also emphasized that effective teaching and learning of Chinese grammar as a foreign or second language starts with conscious knowledge of grammatical rules involved, which ultimately become unconscious linguistic habits through constant practice and applications.
